Job Description

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the classroom teacher to support the learning and development of students in a KS2 class. You will be responsible for providing individualized support and assistance to students, as well as collaborating with the teacher to plan and deliver lessons and activities.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide individualized support and assistance to students.
  2. Collaborate with the classroom teacher to plan and deliver tailored lessons and activities.
  3. Assist with the assessment of student progress and provide feedback to the classroom teacher and parents.
  4. Foster positive relationships with students and establish clear communication channels with the school and parents.

Requirements

  1. Level 2/3 Support Teaching or Learning / Childcare (or ratio equivalent).
  2. Strong empathy and understanding of individual student needs.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and parents.
  4. Patience, resilience, and the ability to provide emotional support when needed.

Salary and Benefits

  • $30,000 - $35,000 per annum salary, dependent on experience.
