Job Title: Leader in Children's Care Provision

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to fill a Deputy Manager position at Dove Adolescent Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of our residential care home, ensuring we provide a high-quality level of care to our young residents.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the Registered Manager in the delivery of care services, adhering to relevant legislation, regulations, and organisational policies.
  • Lead a team of care workers, ensuring good outcomes for our young residents and promoting their physical, psychological, emotional, and social development.
  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure the quality of our care services.
  • Support the Registered Manager in maintaining effective rotas, completing monthly expenses, and ensuring staff are adequately inducted, supervised, and appraised.
  • Contribute to the development of work practices, policies, and procedures, and participate in management forums.


Requirements:


  • A Level 3 qualification in Children's and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
  • A Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management or willingness to complete the qualification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, young people, and outside agencies.
  • Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviour.
  • A current UK driving licence or access to suitable transportation.
  • Flexibility and reliability.


Benefits:


  • 25 days per annum plus Bank Holidays.
  • ~39 hours full-time, with sleep-in duties as required.
