Job Title:Youth Fitness Instructor Leader
About the Role:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Fitness Instructor Leader to join our team in a specialist SEMH setting based in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. The school caters to young people aged 11-16 who have significant SEMH needs and may have been excluded from mainstream education.
Key Responsibilities:
  • To lead sports activities and help students develop their physical and social skills.
  • To deliver high-quality sports coaching to young people, focusing on developing their physical and social abilities.
Requirements:
  • Experience delivering sports activities to young people, ideally within an SEMH or similar setting.
  • A strong understanding of the importance of physical activity in supporting mental and emotional well-being.
  • A calm and resilient approach, able to effectively manage challenging behaviour and support students with complex needs.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Relevant qualifications in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field are desirable.
