We are working exclusively in partnership with a well-established food manufacturer that supplies a range of chilled and ambient products to UK retailers and Food Service. As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the technical and operational goals and strategy to ensure that the business meets customers' expectations when it comes to delivery of product quality, food safety, and legality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing technical and operational goals and strategy to ensure business meets customer expectations
  • Managing the Technical team, including holding regular meetings, performance reviews, identifying training needs, and setting objectives for individuals
  • Ensuring up-to-date policies and procedures are communicated to and fully understood by operational teams
  • Building excellent relationships with customers and suppliers and ensuring that complaints, queries, and communications are responded to in a timely manner
  • Ensuring that all hygiene and H&S requirements are adhered to by following company policies and procedures
  • Monitoring and managing all technical processes, product standards, and quality control programs
  • Working with the senior management team to implement company policies and business objectives

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience within the food manufacturing industry
  • Minimum of 2 years in a Technical or Quality Management position with customer and supplier-facing experience
  • Food Science degree is desirable
  • HACCP Level 3+
