**Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join our client, a well-established food manufacturer, in a key role that will drive the company's technical and operational goals. As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the company's technical and operational strategy, ensuring that the business meets customer expectations in terms of product quality, food safety, and legality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and managing the company's technical and operational goals and strategy
  • Managing the Technical team, including holding regular meetings, performance reviews, identifying training needs, and setting objectives for individuals
  • Ensuring that up-to-date policies and procedures are communicated to and fully understood by the operational teams
  • Building excellent relationships with customers and suppliers, and ensuring that complaints, queries, and communications are responded to in a timely manner
  • Ensuring that all hygiene and H&S requirements are adhered to by following company policies and procedures
  • Monitoring and managing all technical processes, product standards, and quality control programs
  • Working with the senior management team to implement company policies and business objectives

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Technical or Quality Management position within the food manufacturing industry
  • Customer and supplier-facing experience
  • Food Science degree desirable
  • HACCP Level 3+
