Job Title: Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioner to lead our Stroke and Neurology physiotherapy services across acute and community settings.

The successful candidate will have significant post-graduate clinical knowledge of neurology physiotherapy, including experience at Band 6 level within the NHS. They will work closely with the medical staff and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient management.

The role will involve clinical leadership and management of the inpatient stroke ward, with extended responsibilities across acute and community services. The candidate will also provide operational support and staff supervision within the physiotherapy service.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the clinical delivery and leadership of the Inpatient Stroke and Neurology physiotherapy services.
  2. Provide advanced physiotherapy assessment and treatment services for patients with neurological conditions.
  3. Work as a key member of the multidisciplinary team in the management of neurological patients.
  4. Supervise, support, teach, and appraise physiotherapy staff and students within the specialty.

Person Specification:
  • Hold a degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
  • Be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Requirements:
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive post-registration experience in neurology physiotherapy.
  • Expert knowledge and experience in the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with complex neurological conditions.
  • Strong evidence of continuous professional development (CPD) within the specialty.
