Job Title: Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioner to lead our Stroke and Neurology physiotherapy services across acute and community settings.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust and take a key leadership role in the clinical delivery and management of our Stroke and Neurology physiotherapy services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the clinical delivery and leadership of the Inpatient Stroke and Neurology physiotherapy services.
  2. Provide a physiotherapy assessment and treatment service at an advanced level for patients with neurological conditions.
  3. Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a cohesive approach to patient management.
  4. Supervise, support, teach, and appraise physiotherapy staff and students within the specialty.
Person Specification
  • Hold a degree in Physiotherapy and be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Evidence of study at Masters level and extensive post-registration experience within neurology physiotherapy.
  • Expert knowledge and experience in the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with complex neurological conditions.
  • Strong evidence of continuous professional development (CPD) within the specialty.
