Job Description

The High-Quality Technical Training Specialist will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and delivering short technical training courses in the low carbon (renewable) and/or construction sector. This position requires the ability to create engaging and effective training sessions that cater to the needs of various audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training Program Development:
    Create tailored technical training courses and materials that align with the latest technologies, industry standards, and company practices.
  • Training Delivery:
    Deliver high-quality training sessions in face-to-face settings, focusing on interactive content and presentations.
  • Assessment and Evaluation:
    Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    Work closely with subject matter experts, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and relevant training content.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    Provide accurate records of training activities, including participant attendance, feedback, and assessment results.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Time-served trade experience in mechanical, electrical, or construction-related fields, preferably with a background in low carbon technologies.
  • Relevant qualifications in training or assessing are ideal but not essential.
  • Proven experience as a technical trainer in Building services or a similar role, with a strong understanding of technical concepts and high-quality delivery.
  • Technical skills in using training tools and technologies.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple training projects and priorities efficiently.
  • Analytical skills to assess training needs, evaluate program effectiveness, and make decisions to improve training outcomes.
