Contract Manager Job Description

FM Conway is seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our Street Lighting division in Dartford. As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for implementing street lighting and electrical works, ensuring the highest level of health, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and program works, including pre-contract site visits to determine project requirements
  • Manage the street lighting contracts team, motivating them, dealing with performance issues, and promoting professional development
  • Ensure tool box talks, safety alerts, daily briefings, safety inspections, customer satisfaction, supply chain, and near miss reporting are completed as per company requirements
  • Execute site works in a time and cost-efficient manner, liaising with clients, the public, authorities, and sub-contractors/suppliers
  • Order plant and materials to support the works program, ensuring all plant is fit for purpose and maintained to required standards
  • Monitor and maintain records of plant, labor, and materials, assisting in monthly internal commercial reporting and external contract performance reporting
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with strong electrical knowledge and experience in programming, H&S site-specific risk assessments, and good IT skills
  • HEA/HERS Qualified Supervisor, HEA/HERS Authorised Officer, CSCS, SMSTS, and Full UK driving license
  • Level 6 NVQ in Management
