Contract Manager Job Description

The Contract Manager will be responsible for a portfolio of PPM contracts with a value of between £800k to 1 million. The role involves taking overall contractual, operational, and financial responsibility for these contracts.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure assigned contracts are provided with the existing/needed operational and technical standard of service delivery across all works on site.
  • Work with H&S parties to ensure all works on site are delivered in a safe manner, adhering to H&S company protocols and escalating any queries or incidents to internal parties.
  • Operate contracts in accordance with the company's procedures, operational and financial processes, Client Contract KPI's, and work instructions.
  • Manage and report on budgets and their expenditure.
  • Ensure all works/records/compliance data are kept up-to-date on site and in the back office to the appropriate standards.
  • Operate within financial budget constraints, providing services that are cost-effective and fit for purpose.
  • Take overall responsibility for process and site conduct on your contracts, including staff employed directly or indirectly, and escalate any issues to the relevant Department Management.
Required Skills:
  • Ability to accurately estimate HVAC work, with support from Dept. Management for complex issues/quotes.
  • Proven track record of managing account P&L for multiple contracts.
  • Leadership and teamwork skills to foster a positive working environment.
  • Ability to understand and communicate basic mechanical concepts and works and basic technical strategies.
  • Solid organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and written/oral communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and results-driven approach.
  • Ability to multi-task job responsibilities and computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and CAFM.
  • Experience of working within a challenging Service + Maintenance related environment, either in the field and/or office.
  • Commercially astute, driven, and a self-starter.
  • Ability to meet and exceed required Performance and Commercial targets with support from Dept. Management.
  • Demonstrate consistent excellent standards of due diligence.
  • Adaptable to a variety of works and contract demands.
  • Able to provide solutions to client needs and maximise potential sales opportunities.
  • Industry or HVAC experience and qualifications would be an advantage.
  • Able to prioritise and multi-task to a high level, whilst achieving strict deadlines.
