Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out laboratory duties in accordance with Good Control Laboratory Practice (GCLP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out laboratory duties in accordance with GCLP and GLP guidelines.
  • Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and test procedures as required.
  • Undertake sampling and testing of raw materials, laboratory reagents, and equipment.
  • Report results and findings to the Pharmaceutical Quality Control Laboratory Manager or Head of Pharmaceutical Quality.
  • Consign samples for microbiological and endotoxin testing.
  • Maintain the Pharmaceutical Quality Control Laboratory in a safe and tidy condition.
  • Test radiopharmaceutical products and report results.
  • Develop and validate analytical methods.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical technical procedures to degree level or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years full-time post qualification experience.
  • Proven experience of good performance in previous roles.
  • Experience in a QC Laboratory linked to a MHRA Licensed Manufacturing Unit.
  • Technical knowledge covering Pharmaceutical QA/QC and Production.
  • IT skills including email, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and accurate data entry.
