Sales Director UK&I Leader

As a key leader in the UK&I Consumer Commercial Team, this position is responsible for driving business growth and strengthening relationships with retailers to achieve strategic objectives.
This role is a critical advocate for McCormick in the UK&I market, requiring a strong external focus and ability to bring the voice of the customer alive in the business. The individual will help McCormick adjust its strategies to succeed with UK&I retailers.
This role is a key member of the UK&I Consumer Leadership Team, working cross-functionally to set direction and deliver short and long-term goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develops a strategic business plan with sales management involvement, including sales, GM, areas of opportunity, and profit objectives, and participates in pricing development.
- Removes barriers for the external sales force to accomplish goals and objectives, maintaining relationships at the highest organizational levels within the company and with customers.
- Directs projects and resources to gain maximum headspace penetration, working with McCormick management and client executives.
- Directs the strategic sales effort to win and maintain business, accountable for cultivating senior relationships at strategic accounts.
- Develops and manages direct reports, mentoring broader talent, leading MKC teams regularly and informally, and generating ideas to solve problems.
Candidate Profile:
- Strong FMCG sales experience working with UK retailers, with a track record of building trust and winning relationships with the UK's biggest retailers.
- Experience developing people and leading high-performing teams.
- A self-starter who can inspire and set direction, develop high-performing teams, and be a great team player.
- Experience managing P&L's over $100M, with a track record of delivering profitable growth and market share gains.
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, relationship building, and negotiation skills.
- Able to build relationships at the highest organizational levels within the company and with strategic customers.
- Understands key financial drivers and has developed effective systems to monitor accounts and territory.
