Sales Director UK&I Opportunity

As a key leader of the UK&I Consumer Commercial Team, this position is responsible for driving business growth and strengthening relationships with retailers to deliver strategic objectives.

This role is a critical advocate for McCormick in the UK&I market, requiring a strong external focus to bring the voice of the customer alive in the business and inform strategic decisions.

This position is a key member of the UK&I Consumer Leadership Team, working collaboratively to set the direction for the business and drive short- and long-term goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develops a strategic business plan to drive sales, revenue, and profit growth, working closely with sales management and pricing development teams.
  • Removes barriers for the external sales force to achieve goals and objectives, maintaining strong relationships at the highest organizational levels within the company and with customers.
  • Directs project and resource allocation to maximize headspace penetration, working closely with McCormick management and client executives.
  • Leads the strategic sales effort to win and maintain business, accountable for cultivating senior relationships at strategic accounts.
  • Develops and manages direct reports, mentoring broader talent and leading MKC teams to solve problems and drive results.

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong FMCG sales experience working with UK retailers, with a track record of building trust and winning relationships with the UK's biggest retailers.
  • Experience developing people and leading high-performing teams, with a self-starter mindset and ability to inspire and set direction.
  • Experience managing P&Ls of $100M+, with a track record of delivering profitable growth and market share gains.
  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, relationship building, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships at the highest organizational levels.
  • Able to understand key financial drivers and develop effective systems to monitor accounts and territory.
