Job Title: Heavy Maintenance Specialist
">At Shorterm Group, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a passion for heavy maintenance activities to contribute to the success of our organization.
">The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering, with experience in vehicle heavy maintenance. They will be able to interpret engineering drawings, understand mechanical and electrical systems, and work effectively in a team environment.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- ">
- Carry out vehicle maintenance work as allocated by the Team Leader or Production Engineer within set timescales and standards.">
- Operate rail vehicles as required, within depot operating limits, and in accordance with relevant procedures.">
- Evaluate and improve quality and environmental procedures.">
- Maintain good housekeeping and standard of cleanliness.">
- Use PPE in accordance with standards and instructions.">
Requirements:
">- ">
- A minimum of one of the following qualifications: BTEC certificate in Engineering, City and Guilds certificate in Engineering, NVQ Level 3 certificate in Engineering.">
- Traction and rolling stock qualification preferred.">
- Previous experience in vehicle heavy maintenance activities.">
- Able to interpret engineering drawings.">
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering.">
- Basic IT skills.">
