Wellbeing Walking Leader

Lancashire Volunteer Partnership is looking for a Wellbeing Walking Leader to join their re:fresh team. As a Wellbeing Walking Leader, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of people living and working in our borough.
About the Role:Our re:fresh team delivers a range of programmes to increase physical activity, including Get Active community sessions, Exercise Referral Programme, Learning Disabilities & Autism sessions, and our 16-week structured Falls Prevention Programme. As a Wellbeing Walking Leader, you will assist with these programmes and help to promote healthy lifestyles in our community.
Your Responsibilities:- Brief participants at the start and end of each session
- Manage registers at every walk
- Evaluate and report any hazards or risks identified
- Undertake necessary training to become a wellbeing walks leader/back marker
- Able to walk competently
- Enthusiastic and driven
- Trustworthy and reliable
- Friendly and approachable
- An interest in promoting walking and its benefits
The estimated salary for this position is £9-£13 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. We are committed to helping our community improve their health and wellbeing, and we believe that this role is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact.
