Poundland is seeking a seasoned Head of Merchandising to spearhead the development and implementation of customer-centric and profitable merchandise strategies for General Merchandise categories. As a key member of the buying team, you will collaborate to curate and manage product assortments that align with customer needs and company objectives. Your leadership skills will drive high performance through coaching, mentoring, and development of the merchandising team. You will oversee category budget setting, including sales, margin, stocks, and options, and establish robust merchandising processes that streamline operations and enhance efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong merchandising planning skills, experience in general merchandise or clothing retail, and a proven track record of working cross-functionally with key stakeholders. They will also possess exceptional leadership skills, strong communication and influencing abilities, and current Head of Merchandising experience or a highly experienced Senior Merchandiser ready for the next step in their career.
