Head of Merchandising

Poundland is seeking an experienced Head of Merchandising to lead our dynamic merchandising team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing customer-centric and profitable merchandise strategies for General Merchandise categories.
You will collaborate with the buying team to curate and manage product assortments that align with customer needs and company objectives. Additionally, you will oversee category budget setting, including sales, margin, stocks, and options.
As a strategic thinker, you will bring strong merchandising planning skills, experience in general merchandise or clothing retail, and a clear understanding of customer trends and commercial performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing effective merchandise strategies
- Collaborating with the buying team to curate and manage product assortments
- Overseeing category budget setting
- Establishing and implementing robust merchandising processes
- Taking ownership of decision-making processes
