The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing PMO services across the Currys Transformation Portfolio (consisting of projects and programmes). They will support the Senior Portfolio Manager, Head of Portfolio, Strategic Change & Portfolio Director, Head of Delivery and Business Solutions Director to improve governance controls and processes across the Portfolio enabling successful delivery of Projects and Programmes to desired budget, quality on time.
Role overview:
As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Responsible for managing the single source of truth across the portfolio drive informed management decisions by providing consolidated reports, KPI's & dashboards.
- Responsible for producing and maintaining core reporting requirements across the portfolio for all key meetings and stakeholders.
- Manage and drive data inputs/outputs the RAID management process, ensuring appropriate escalations and consolidating common themes.
- Manage the Portfolio Roadmap and Plan, managing milestones, dependencies and change.
- Oversight of the Delivery Framework including Waterfall and Agile, identifying, rolling out and embedding improvements to ensure consistency in approach across Currys.
- Experience and knowledge of Agile framework in order to support our teams on adopting agile principles and ensure alignment to our Delivery Framework.
- Ensure there is robust Change Control across the portfolio, ensuring the upcoming changes are impacted and assessed appropriately against the Portfolio Plan focus on Critical Path.
- Provide independent Quality Assurance for all projects and Programme, prior to all Stage Gate Reviews at the Currys Change Board.
You will have an excellent ability to influence people at all levels across the organisation and outside, including negotiating and successfully facilitating joint decision making.
You will need:
- Ability to present effectively to senior management and communicate, both orally and in writing, with people at all levels across the organisation.
- Strong analytical skills, able to identify highly complex critical issues and constructively challenge colleagues to improve programme delivery overall.
- Microsoft packages (Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel).
- Exceptional organisation, prioritisation and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- A positive, can do attitude and proven ability to deliver cost effective solutions when met with difficult and challenging project impacting risks and issues.
- Can think on feet and learn quickly.
- Collaborative.
