Night Coach and Care Coordinator

SuperCare Residential in Croydon seeks a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Night Coach and Care Coordinator. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people, supporting them to become more independent, succeed in their education, and grow personally through engaging activities in a safe environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-Day Care and Support: Provide direct care and support to young people on a shift work basis, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Collaboration and Partnership Working: Work with young people, their social worker, carers, and other relevant agencies to address their unique needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Care Plan Monitoring and Review: Monitor and review Care Plans for allocated young people preparing to transition to adulthood and greater independence, ensuring they receive tailored support.
  • Establishment Maintenance and Health and Safety: Take responsibility for the upkeep of the establishment, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for young people.
  • Safeguarding and Empowerment: Support young people in taking responsibility for their own lives, keeping them informed of their circumstances and rights, and involving them in planning their lives.
  • Safeguarding Concerns and Reporting: Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and report them effectively, prioritizing the well-being and safety of young people.
  • Personal Care and Well-being: Attend to day-to-day needs, including bathing, feeding, cooking, and overall well-being, promoting a healthy and happy lifestyle.
  • Maintenance and Environmental Care: Maintain the fabric, equipment, and overall environment of the establishment, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming space for young people.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Positive Role Model and Guide: Act as a positive role model and guide for young people, setting principles and examples that promote positive values and behaviors.
  • Professional Development and Supervision: Utilize regular professional supervision to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
  • Confidentiality and Malpractice Reporting: Report any malpractice or evidence of it to a line manager or appropriate person, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Flexibility and Availability: Work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, on a rota basis as required, and be flexible to work at other properties as directed by management, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to go above and beyond.
  • Eligibility and Residency: Be legally allowed to work in the UK without sponsorship, meeting the necessary requirements for employment.
