We offer a competitive salary of £39,264 - £40,833 (Grade 9) for this exciting role.

Job Description

As a highly qualified Speech and Language Therapist, you will be working closely with our Education Training and Employment Team to provide high-quality speech and language therapy to children and young people aged 10-17 known to the Youth Justice Service. Your expertise will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, treating, and discharging young people with speech, language, and communication needs.

You will work collaboratively with schools, colleges, and training providers to ensure seamless integration of SLT intervention plans within YJS reports and assessments. Additionally, you will contribute to assessments as required, working in partnership with the local authority and NHS England.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should have:

  • Experience as a Speech and Language Therapist with an understanding of working with young people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to assess, diagnose, and treat/manage interventions ensuring programs are integral to children's education and development.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
