We are seeking a highly specialist speech and language therapist to join our Croydon Community Neuro Rehabilitation Team.

The successful candidate will provide multidisciplinary rehabilitation for people with neurological diagnoses, working closely with occupational therapists, neuropsychologists, rehabilitation support workers, and physiotherapists.

As part of the wider speech and language therapy staffing, you will be involved with voice and fluency clinics and provide a FEES service.

We are committed to providing the best possible service to our patients and strongly believe in the continuing professional development of our staff, with regular appraisals and in-service training provided.

Main duties of the job

At a highly specialist level, you will assess, develop, and implement speech and language therapy for adult clients with communication and swallowing difficulties.

You will employ highly specialist interventions for patients/clients and carers who have severe disability and/or terminal illness on a daily basis and evaluate outcomes.

You will provide advice and training to others regarding the management and care of patients/clients with communication and/or feeding and swallowing difficulties.

You will demonstrate clinical effectiveness by using evidence-based practice and outcome measures, care plans, and review with clients.
