{"About the Role": "We are seeking a talented Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team at Van Elle, a leading geotechnical and ground engineering contractor. As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the management of site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will assist in planning and sequencing of operations, implement operational quality control measures, and develop work plans and risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the management of site operations to ensure safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness
* Assist in planning and sequencing of operations, including writing method statements and risk assessments
* Implement operational quality control measures and QA processes
* Develop work plans, method statements, and risk assessments
* Monitor the progress of project works
* Take a proactive approach in the responsibility for Health and Safety
* Ensure full communication across all management levels within the project
* Attend regular meetings with the client to discuss and appraise performance
* Ensure that all operatives are provided with the necessary resources, materials, and information for the carrying out of their duties
* Complete quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard

Requirements:

* Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
* Practical experience from construction or similar transferrable skills
* Experience with AutoCAD preferable
* IT competent in Microsoft packages
* Valid CSCS Card
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to work effectively to deadlines and under pressure
* Good attention to detail and accuracy of work
* Effective planning and organisation skills
* A structured approach to problem solving
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong analytical, mathematical, and technical skills
* Knowledge of the relevant legal and safety regulations

* Hours of work are 7.30am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday
