SEN Teaching Opportunities in Lincoln

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Supply Teacher to join our team at GSL Education - Lincoln. As a Teacher, you will be responsible for supporting secondary-aged students with special needs, including Autism and Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties.

Your Key Tasks:

  • Design and deliver tailored learning experiences that cater to students' diverse needs.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, students, and other professionals.
  • Monitor and track pupil progress through thoughtful assessment and marking.
  • Adapt your teaching methods to meet individual needs and promote positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants to create engaging activities focused on Life Skills and Functional Skills.
  • FOLLOWING Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure all specified outcomes are achieved.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is a prerequisite.
  • At least 6 months of experience working in SEN settings or alternative provisions.
  • Confidence working with secondary-age students in either SEN or mainstream settings.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and a dedication to promoting children's welfare.
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to apply.
