Founded in 2014, we provide over 300 global customers with industry-leading software and bespoke AI consultancy for various sectors including retail, healthcare, energy, and government. Our expertise and safety credentials have led to partnerships with top organisations such as OpenAI.

About the Role:

This Senior Artificial Intelligence Technical Lead position is situated within our Applied AI consultancy, serving clients in the Government & Public Services business unit. As a technical leader, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and deploying production-grade software, infrastructure, and MLOps systems. You'll also offer leadership and mentorship to junior engineers on the team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. You will help our customers solve complex problems in the Government and Public services space by developing new methods and championing best practices for managing AI systems deployed at scale.
  2. You'll collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deploy ML solutions to real-world problems.
  3. As a Machine Learning Engineering team lead, you'll be essential to helping us achieve our goal of transforming organisational performance through AI.
  4. You'll work in cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, designers, and managers to deliver technically sophisticated, high-impact systems.
  5. You'll lead on the scope and design of projects, offering leadership and management to more junior engineers on the team.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  1. Understanding of the full machine learning lifecycle, including deploying trained machine learning models developed using common frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  2. Familiarity with cloud architecture, security, deployment, and open-source tools on at least one major cloud platform, preferably AWS.
  3. Demonstrable experience with containers and specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
  4. Experience growing the technical capabilities of a team; adopting a caring attitude towards the personal and professional development of other engineers and an enthusiasm for nurturing a collaborative and accomplished engineering culture.

What We Offer

We're a rapidly growing organisation, and this role comes with a competitive salary of £120,000 - £150,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your base salary, you'll receive a range of benefits, including access to cutting-edge technology, opportunities for career growth and development, and a dynamic work environment.
