Electrical Installation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Specialist to join our team at Portakabin Hire Centre in Bridgewater. In this role, you will be responsible for refurbishing and fitting out Portakabin buildings to the highest standards, specialising in electrical work. You will also be involved in aftersales and rectification work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fault finding and undertake rectifications of existing systems on and off site.
  • Apply electrical principles and work associated with the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety practices and legislation to maintain a zero-harm environment and culture.
  • Assist in the general fitting out and refurbishment of Portakabin buildings on and off site.
  • Support supplementary process-based tasks where required, including the installation and termination of building works.
  • Ensure workmanship quality adheres to technical specifications and divisional standards.
  • Apply lean principles and techniques to help the team deliver and exceed KPI targets.
  • Design and install electrical systems incorporating all types of electrical materials, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
  • Test buildings to required standards and complete appropriate documentation/certification where applicable.
  • Oversee testing requirements for the Hire Centre as a qualified supervisor.
  • Maintain tools and equipment to maximise their use and prolonged life.
  • Utilise reconditioned fittings and materials as a priority without compromising quality.
