Electrical Technician

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Professional to join our team at the Portakabin Hire Centre in Bridgewater. This permanent role involves refurbishing and fitting out Portakabin buildings to the highest standards, with a focus on electrical work, as well as providing aftersales and rectification services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct fault finding and rectification of existing systems on and off site.
• Understand and apply electrical principles and works associated with the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety practices and legislation to maintain a zero-harm environment and culture.
• Assist with the general fitting out and refurbishment of Portakabin buildings on and off site.
• Support supplementary process-based tasks where required, including the installation and termination of building works.
• Ensure workmanship quality adheres to technical specifications and divisional standards.
• Apply lean principles and techniques to deliver and exceed KPI targets.
• Design and install electrical systems incorporating all types of electrical materials, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
• Ensure all buildings are tested to required standards, including completion of appropriate documentation/certification.
• Oversee testing requirements for the Hire Centre as a qualified supervisor.
• Maintain tools and equipment to maximise use and prolonged life.
• Utilise reconditioned fittings and materials as a priority without compromising quality.
