**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team at Portakabin. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest possible standards of electrical work in the refurbishment and fit-out of our buildings.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conduct thorough fault finding and rectification of existing electrical systems on and off site.
  • Apply electrical principles and work associated with the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety practices and legislation to maintain a zero-harm environment and culture.
  • Assist in the general fitting out and refurbishment of Portakabin buildings on and off site as required.
  • Support supplementary process-based tasks where required, including the installation and termination of building works.
  • Take individual responsibility for ensuring workmanship quality adheres to technical specifications and divisional standards.
  • Apply lean principles and techniques to contribute to your team delivering and exceeding KPI targets.
  • Design and install electrical systems incorporating all types of electrical materials, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
  • Ensure all buildings are tested to required standards, including completion of appropriate documentation/certification where applicable.
  • Assume responsibility as the qualified supervisor and oversee all testing requirements for the Hire Centre.
  • Maintain tools and equipment to maximise their use and prolonged life.
  • Utilise reconditioned fittings and materials as a priority without compromising quality.

**Ideal Candidate**

We are looking for someone with:

  • Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship Scheme / Indentures (or AM2) & City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 electrical installation.
  • City & Guilds / (IEE Wiring Regs - 18th Edition) or JIB Card - Electrician (Must include IEE Wiring Regs 18th Edition).
  • Full driving license.
  • City & Guilds Inspection, Testing and Certification – desirable.
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent grade).
  • Good organisation & planning skills.
