About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join our Backstage team at Spotify. As a key member of our sales team, you'll be responsible for driving the adoption of our developer portal platform among enterprise customers.

As a Senior Sales Engineer, you'll work closely with our product management and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and provide technical guidance on how to integrate Backstage into their development environments.

You'll also engage with customers to understand their technical needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements. Your strong technical background and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product management and engineering teams to address customer-specific needs and improvements.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for clients looking to adopt Backstage.

Requirements
  • Strong background in software engineering or DevOps, with knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD, and other DevOps tools.
  • Proficiency in web development with React, TypeScript, and Node.
  • Experience in building or integrating developer tools, platforms, or portals.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and enterprise-level integrations.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
  • Prior experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or a related role in a tech company.
  • Hands-on experience with Backstage or similar developer portals.
