At Kent County Council, we are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children\u2019s Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team that provides accommodation and support to newly arrived unaccompanied asylum-seeking children in Kent.

The service is recognized as Outstanding by Ofsted and is developing as a centre of excellence for social work practice nationally. As a Social Worker in this service, you will have the opportunity to enhance and develop your social work knowledge and skills, working with children in care, managing child protection concerns, and interagency working with key partners.

You will work across Kent, with opportunities to work nationally across the UK, both with other Local Authorities under the National Transfer Scheme and with exploring families in the UK. You will also receive excellent training and benefits, including a competitive basic salary, annual leave allowance, and a relocation package.

This is a customer-facing position, and the Council has a statutory duty to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration and have an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service.
