About the Role

MUFG Securities EMEA plc is seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Testing Lead - Assistant Vice President to join our team. As a key member of our Operations division, you will play a critical role in maintaining an effective Operational Resilience Framework, Business Continuity Framework, and Crisis Management Framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, embed, and manage the Operational Resilience framework, tools, and methodologies in line with regulatory requirements to enable the achievement of MUFG's strategic objectives.
  • Establish collaborative relationships across MUFG entities in the UK and Europe, using excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, to influence and advise senior management to realise intended benefits.
  • Support the ongoing maturity of the Operational Resilience Framework through the team of business partners aligned to areas of the business.
  • Work closely with the DORA Programme Team to develop a strong capability in the first line of defence, defining and delivering sustainable and practical solutions for the management of operational resilience.
  • Manage the delivery of all Operational Resilience testing requirements, including creating and gaining agreement to a testing schedule, coordinating pre-testing activity, and ensuring that all testing requirements comply with UK Operational Resilience Policy, DORA, and Internal policy testing for Business Continuity.
  • Establish and manage the process to assess vulnerabilities and define and deliver remedial actions, including supporting the business areas with assessing and prioritising weaknesses and vulnerabilities in resilience, helping the business to define appropriate remedial actions, and tracking delivery of actions and reviewing evidence of gap closure.
  • Be the central point of contact for all Operational Resilience testing requirements support coordination across other related testing activities across the business.
Requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of the Operational Resilience Policy Statements (March 2021) and EU Digital Operational Resilience Act requirements.
  • Knowledge of Operational Risk, Operational Resilience, and Business Continuity tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience delivering a Testing capability covering Operational Resilience and Business Continuity.
  • Understanding of the Crisis Management and Business Continuity life-cycles.
  • Previous testing experience across a multi-country landscape desirable.
  • Ability to identify and resolve risks and issues, or prompt escalation to management if they are not able to be resolved.
  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems and make recommendations to management.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, persuades and includes others using a range of approaches to achieve deliverables.
  • Proven facilitation skills.
