Job Title: Commercial Sales Handler

Duties and Accountabilities
  1. Manage incoming sales and customer enquiry calls to provide exceptional customer service.
  2. Produce and issue quotation, new business, and renewal documentation to meet customer needs.
  3. Assist customers in protecting their material assets and liabilities by providing expert insurance solutions.
  4. Follow up and convert leads, as well as make outbound calls to drive sales growth.
  5. Work collaboratively as a member of a sales team, contributing to team discussions and driving positive change.
  6. Achieve agreed sales and retention targets, both individually and as part of the overall team.
  7. Maintain and achieve growth in income from existing customers through effective relationship management.
  8. Develop and maintain positive ongoing relationships with Insurers and Underwriters in a professional manner.
  9. Ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards, and external compliance regulations are met.
  10. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all products and services to assist customers in making informed decisions.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  1. Minimum of 5 Grade A-C GCSEs.
  2. Competent to sell SME general insurance.
  3. Relevant experience in a branch and/or broker sales position.
  4. Clear understanding of the UK insurance market and its dynamics.
  5. Experience of e-trading platforms; Acturis would be advantageous but not required.
  6. Strong track record in delivering on sales targets.
Industry Experience Required
  1. Competent to sell SME general insurance.
  2. CII FIT Qualification or willingness to undertake this study upon role success.
  3. Relevant experience in a branch and/or broker sales position.
  4. Clear understanding of the UK insurance market and its dynamics.
  5. Experience of e-trading platforms; Acturis would be advantageous but not required.
  6. Strong track record in delivering on sales targets.
