Insurance Account Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Insurance Account Specialist to join our UK Specialty business in Croydon. As an Account Handler, you will be responsible for servicing existing clients and acquiring new business within our Sport & Entertainment division.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming enquiries from clients, insurers, and third parties in a professional and timely manner.
- Work within agreed authority levels to review client demands and needs, advising on the most appropriate insurances.
- Grow the client base by increasing sales and cross-selling insurance products.
- Process client new business, renewals, and lapses in accordance with current procedures and FCA requirements.
- Liaise with insurers and third parties regarding client insurance needs.
- Assess, analyze, and present to insurers and underwriters to achieve risk acceptance at the most advantageous rate.
- Prepare customer reports to support the commercial lines manager/supervisor.
Requirements
- Commercial insurance experience, ideally in schemes business.
- Ability to build successful business/client relationships.
- Understanding of broking and underwriting processes.
- Highly organized with good planning skills.
- Able to work flexibly to achieve tight deadlines/targets.
- Completion of or progress towards CII.
