About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Support Worker to join our team in Cheshire West and Chester. As a Part-Time Young People Support Worker (Floating), you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering young adults aged 15-19 with care experience to prepare for and transition into independent living.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of each young person's strengths, needs, and goals to develop a tailored support plan.
  • Provide a programme of support to cover accommodation needs, independent living skills, education, employment, and social and emotional issues.
  • Support young people to develop necessary skills for independent living, including budgeting, managing money, and prioritizing bills and rent.
  • Help young people to apply for benefits and complete relevant application forms.
What We Are Looking For
  • Able to work on own initiative, exercise sound judgement, and understanding when to consult with peers and clients to meet service KPIs.
  • A clear understanding of risk management, information sharing, and data security.
  • Experience of helping young people with benefits, independent living, and maintaining accommodation.
  • Experience of working with young people with complex needs, such as mental health issues, substance misuse, domestic abuse, and offending behavior.
