Medical Researcher in Cell Therapy and Immunotherapy

In this 10-session non-training post, you will have the opportunity to work with our Experimental Cancer Medicine Team, collaborating with clinicians, researchers, and industry partners to advance cancer treatment. Your primary role will be as co-investigator on early phase cell therapy and complex immunotherapy clinical trials. You will also participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, contributing to the education of medical students, specialty trainees, and fellows.
A diverse range of clinical research trials are in progress, including cellular therapy and bispecific antibody early phase trials. You will be expected to attend trial outpatient clinics, Safety Review Committee meetings, and participate in audit, writing papers and reviews. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain valuable experience in experimental medicine, Phase I trials, clinical pharmacology, and translational research.
You will work closely with Consultant Medical Oncologists, Clinical Fellows, Clinical Trial Pharmacists, Research Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, and other staff members to deliver high-quality patient care and advance medical research. Your ability to understand and deliver experimental clinical research, liaising across clinical, academic, and administrative staff, is essential for success in this role.
