ERTMS Training Manager

Freightliner is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ERTMS Training Manager to join our team. As a key member of our training department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to our drivers, shunters, and ground staff.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver ERTMS training programs to meet the requirements of the RSSB and ORR.
  • Collaborate with the ERTMS project team to create and train ERTMS theory, simulation, and practical modules.
  • Deliver ERTMS, Foundation, National Train Control, and full ERTMS Level 2 training to drivers, shunters, and managers.
  • Assist with non-ERTMS specific training and assessment of new and existing drivers.
  • Maintain and achieve occupational competency for your job role and business area to high standards.
Requirements:
  • A proven track record of competency management in the rail industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the RSSB standards for Drivers & Groundstaff.
  • A competent and experienced train driver ideally qualified as an instructor with experience of instructing trainee and experienced drivers.
  • Either competent, or aim to become competent, groundstaff qualified operator.
  • A teaching qualification would be ideal but not essential.
