ERTMS Training Manager

Freightliner is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ERTMS Training Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Operational Training & Standards team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to our drivers, shunters, and ground staff on ERTMS and other rail industry-related topics.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for ERTMS and other rail industry-related topics.
  • Collaborate with the ERTMS project team to ensure that training is aligned with project requirements.
  • Provide training to drivers, shunters, and ground staff on ERTMS theory, simulation, and practical modules.
  • Ensure that all training is delivered in accordance with RSSB and ORR standards and guidelines.
  • Manage and maintain a robust competency management system to ensure that all staff are properly trained and competent.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of competency management in the rail industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of RSSB standards for Drivers & Groundstaff.
  • Competent and experienced train driver with experience of instructing trainee and experienced drivers.
  • Either competent or aim to become competent groundstaff qualified operator.
  • Teaching qualification desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of delivering training to adults.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Wide-ranging experience regarding different types of traction cards.
  • Working knowledge of change in the rail industry with reference to GSM-R, ERTMS, C-DAS, ATO, ATP.
  • Ability to interpret training materials and execute multiple workstreams simultaneously.
