ERTMS Training and Operations Specialist

Freightliner is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ERTMS Training and Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality ERTMS training to our drivers, shunters, and ground staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to operate safely and efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver ERTMS training programs for drivers, shunters, and ground staff
  • Collaborate with the ERTMS project team to ensure training is aligned with project requirements
  • Conduct regular training sessions and assessments to ensure competency records are up-to-date
  • Support the introduction of simulation technology to enhance training and assessment
  • Manage and maintain training materials, including manuals and publications
  • Ensure compliance with RSSB and ORR standards for driver training and ground staff training
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of competency management in the rail industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of RSSB standards for drivers and ground staff
  • Competent and experienced train driver, ideally qualified as an instructor
  • Either competent or aim to become competent ground staff qualified operator
  • Teaching qualification desirable
  • Experience of delivering training to adults
  • Good IT skills
  • Working knowledge of change in the rail industry, including GSM-R, ERTMS, C-DAS, ATO, and ATP
