Senior Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commissioning Engineer to join our tendering team at MWH Treatment in Derby, with the option for hybrid working.
As a key member of our team, you will report directly to the Commissioning Manager and be responsible for creating comprehensive commissioning proposals and programs for waste and water treatment projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with a team of multi-disciplined engineers, providing technical support and specialist advice.
- Work independently with limited supervision, utilizing your initiative to drive project success.
- Develop a deep understanding of client requirements from project documents and outline scope information.
- Contribute valuable ideas and experience to the team, formulating and evaluating specific solutions and proposals.
- Identify and highlight commissioning risks, suggesting mitigations and temporary plant requirements.
- Devise commissioning methods that minimize reliance on temporary plant and workarounds.
- Develop a commissioning plan that ensures client operational equipment and plant performance are unaffected by proposed works.
- Create a list of unavoidable operationally intrusive works, requiring specific methodology before execution.
- Develop a written commissioning strategy statement using the standard proforma.
- Review and assist in the development of a project program, ensuring sufficient time for all stages of commissioning.
- Estimate resources required and potential duration for commissioning stages, reviewing and endorsing the project program.
