Job Title: Attendance Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Attendance Coordinator to join our team at a client secondary school in Old Trafford. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in monitoring student attendance, implementing strategies to improve attendance rates, and working collaboratively with students, parents, and staff to promote a culture of regular school attendance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and record student attendance daily, ensuring accurate data entry into the school's management information system.
  • Identify patterns of absenteeism and work with students and families to address barriers to attendance.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies for students with poor attendance records.
  • Liaise with teaching staff to ensure they are aware of attendance issues within their classes.
  • Conduct home visits when necessary to engage with families regarding attendance concerns.
  • Prepare reports on attendance statistics for senior leadership and governing bodies.
  • Organize and participate in meetings with parents, guardians, and external agencies as required.
  • Promote the importance of regular school attendance through campaigns and initiatives within the school community.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
