About the Role

The Global Process Owner will be the key figure in ensuring high-quality and compliance from a financial perspective for all legal entities within Just Eat Takeaway. This individual will be responsible for setting KPIs and meeting anticipated targets by focusing on global process design, deployment, standardization, and optimization within the Finance function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Ownership: Define and communicate a clear vision and strategy for Record to Report processes across the JET operating model, in line with the GFO vision/strategy.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Possess ownership of R2R processes and act as a subject matter expert for process documentation.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Partner and collaborate as a business partner with Group Reporting, Group FP&A, Reportable Segment FDs, and Country Finance leads to ensure effective support and provide best-in-class user experience.
  • Policy Setting and Writing: Set and write policies, standards, and procedures for the process, aligning with other Process Owners (Order to Cash and Purchase to Pay).
  • Master Data Management: Set and oversee the maintenance of Record to Report process level master data, in alignment with global data policy and standards, and monitor adherence.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Collaborate with the Risk and Control and Tax teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and deliver high-quality data for VAT/Duties/CIT/Withholding declaration information.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Define and deliver R2R KPIs and SLAs to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of sub-processes and end-to-end business processes.
  • Stakeholder Mapping and Communication: Set out guidelines for effective stakeholder mapping and build the GFO foundational report, understanding stakeholders' requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis, problem resolution, and supporting recommendations.
  • Process Improvement Initiatives: Identify, prioritize, and manage tower-specific process improvement initiatives, including system implementations, to drive better decisions in support of accelerated growth/efficiency initiatives.
  • Change Management: Act as a stakeholder to foster a culture of change within the Record to Report domain, including change management sessions/workshops.
  • Knowledge Transfer and Talent Development: Conduct knowledge transfer to R2R team members in terms of processes and technology, and develop, maintain, and assess internal controls related to accounting and financial reporting systems.
  • Account Closing and Financial Reporting: Manage, prepare, administer, and direct the account closing and financial reporting process of the GFO as required.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Adhere to timely and accurate preparation of financial information related to regulatory reporting, including statutory financial statements, statistical reporting, CIT/VAT declarations.
  • Talent Development and Coaching: Coach and develop current team members to excel, stretch, and expand in their role, and attract new GFO members.
  • System Implementation and Change Management: Support the implementation of changes to Workday Finance through the change request committee, considering the data governance structure, and other systems that will improve finance operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent, plus Professional Accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
  • Experience: Extensive experience in the R2R domain (> 10 years), with a strong understanding of the R2R end-to-end process.
  • Critical Success Factors: Excellent understanding of the critical success factors as a reliable, effective, and efficient business service provider.
  • Leadership Skills: Leadership skills with experience in leading, managing, and developing R2R teams.
  • Process Design and Improvement: Experience in process design, process mapping, improving process quality using best practices, process review, and process compliance.
  • Initiative and Problem-Solving: Takes initiative and identifies issues with a solutions-oriented approach, a strong ability to overcome challenges, and high-level confidence in decision-making ability.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Workday and OneStream Consolidation Tool, knowledge of IFRS guidelines, and experience with project management.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Good communication skills to collaborate with various cross-functional stakeholders and effectively cascade the mission and vision of the Finance department.
  • Language Skills: Excellent command of English (both written and verbal proficiency).
  • Attitude and Skills: Can-do attitude, energetic, analytical, and forward-thinking.
