Parking Enforcement Officer

Join our team as a Parking Enforcement Officer and play a vital role in maintaining the city's parking infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with parking restrictions and regulations.
Main Responsibilities:- Conduct regular patrols of on and off-street parking areas to identify and address any parking-related issues.
- Issue penalty charge notices to vehicles parked in contravention of parking restrictions and record verbal warnings issued to motorists.
- Report any defects or damage to parking signs, lines, or equipment.
- Ensure that parking equipment is functioning correctly and report any defects promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service to members of the public, responding to their queries and concerns in a polite and professional manner.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a demanding environment such as a hospitality or call centre.
- Previous experience in civil enforcement or parking, or a related security environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work within a closely managed operation.
- Ability to ride a bicycle in various weather conditions.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with conflict situations in a professional manner.
- Willingness to work outside in all weathers and ability to walk 10 miles per shift.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
This is a 40-hour per week role, working a shift pattern that includes 5 days out of 7, from Monday to Sunday. Part-time hours are also available.
