The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects, including planning and delivering impactful communications plans and promotional campaigns. They will also be responsible for organising high-profile visits and events, providing expert communications advice and support for staff across the organisation, and handling media and communications issues, in and out-of-hours, on a rotational basis.

With a degree in PR, media communications, journalism or the equivalent 'on the job' experience, you will be a confident, motivated individual with a proven track record of managing and developing teams. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be calm under pressure, and have excellent communication and writing skills.

We are looking for someone who can bring sound editorial judgement to this role, evidencing sharp focus in complex situations. A solid grasp of the political context in which the NHS operates and good media relationships are essential. Outstanding communication and organisational skills are also required, as well as the ability to manage a portfolio of responsibilities.

The salary for this position is estimated at £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
