The Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our CAMHS team at Priory Wellbeing Centre Canterbury. As a specialist in this field, you will be responsible for providing psychiatric assessments for children and adolescents aged 6-17 on a self-employed basis.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for children and adolescents;
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual needs;
- Collaborate with our CAMHS therapy team to provide ongoing support;
- Meet client preferences regarding funding options, including self-funding and private/corporate medical insurance;
- Flexibility to accommodate clients' scheduling needs, particularly around schooling.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Strong clinical expertise in child and adolescent mental health;
- Experience working with children and adolescents with various mental health conditions;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
