Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Mechnical Commissioning Team Lead to join our team at BAE Systems. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

  • Lead and manage the Mechanical Commissioning team to deliver key objectives on our state-of-the-art Submarine Propulsion Systems project.
  • Provide technical and behavioural leadership for the team.
  • Responsible for research, compilation, reviews & feedback of appropriate documentation to the required standard.
  • Represent the company internally & externally as required by contractual agreements.
  • Deliver assigned activities in line with company policy, procedures and legislation.
  • Develop and implement plans to meet programme requirements & objectives.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of safety controls & procedures in a high-risk operational environment.
  • Ability to provide technical knowledge & instruction to emergent incidents.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to negotiate.
  • Experienced in Stakeholder management.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of safety controls & procedures in a high-risk operational environment.
  • Ability to provide technical knowledge & instruction to emergent incidents.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to negotiate.
  • Experienced in Stakeholder management.
  • Degree/HNC/HND in a Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • ILM Level 2/CMI Level 3.
