About the Role

Carmarthenshire Association of Voluntary Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Welfare Support Officer to join our team. As a Community Welfare Support Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust (WAST) in delivering urgent care to patients and service users in Carmarthenshire.

The successful candidate will be trained and equipped to provide clinical observations and welfare support to patients/service users. You will be part of an exciting initiative under the Connected Support Cymru project, working towards strengthening community resilience and contributing to Delivering Excellence.

You will work closely with remote clinicians in our Ambulance Control Centres, providing accurate and up-to-date clinical information to support decision-making. Our volunteers are alerted to emergency calls via handheld mobile devices and will drive to the incident address under normal road conditions, adhering to the Highway Code.
