We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis at a Primary School in the Burnley area. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to support the learning and development of children across Key Stage 1.
The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent and experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting. They will also have the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working 1-1 with children needing additional support
- Providing pastoral support to children who may need extra help
- Helping to assess pupils' progress and keeping accurate records
- Supporting pupils with special educational needs
- Flexible to work across different year groups
Desirable Requirements:
- Knowledge of phonics and early years learning
- Experience working with children with SEND
