About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of an Ofsted registered children's home. This will include developing and implementing care plans for children in accordance with their individual needs, providing oversight of direct care and support, and creating a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee the daily operations of an Ofsted registered children's home
- Develop and implement care plans for children in accordance with their individual needs
- Provide oversight of the direct care and support to children, including assistance with activities of daily living
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being
- Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and other team members to ensure comprehensive care for children
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to children's care and progress
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and standards for registered children's facilities
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Ofsted registered residential children's home, including at least 1 year in a senior supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of care practices and protocols for children with diverse needs
- Experience in social, emotional and mental health difficulties in children and young people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children, families, staff members and external agencies
- Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Children and Young People's workforce in Residential Childcare
