Occupational Health Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Specialist to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a range of occupational health services to staff, including health surveillance, risk assessment, and advice on workplace wellbeing.
About the RoleThe postholder will work closely with senior staff to identify and minimize clinical and non-clinical risk issues, ensuring compliance with local and external practice standards. They will also be responsible for implementing action plans to address areas that fall below acceptable standards.
Main Responsibilities- Provide occupational health services to staff, including health surveillance, risk assessment, and advice on workplace wellbeing.
- Work closely with senior staff to identify and minimize clinical and non-clinical risk issues.
- Implement action plans to address areas that fall below acceptable standards.
- Ensure compliance with local and external practice standards.
- Conduct health surveillance programmes of staff in line with legislation.
- Organize daily work planning to reflect clinical demand and maximize appointment availability.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in occupational health or a related field.
- Extensive experience in occupational health, preferably in the NHS.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety legislation.
The salary for this role is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including:
