Safety Health Manager
Reporting to the Plant Manager and Managing Director, the Safety Health Manager will develop and maintain a health, safety and environment management system and provide a support service to line management to ensure safe systems of work are in place and complied with. The overall aim of the role is to ensure full legal compliance in health, safety and environment matters.
The Safety Health Manager will be responsible for recording and reporting all accidents, incidents and unsafe acts, and where applicable reporting these to HSE under RIDDOR requirements. In addition, the successful candidate will need to ensure that all risk assessments for all known hazards are in place and maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a health, safety and environment management system
- Provide a support service to line management to ensure safe systems of work are in place and complied with
- Record and report all accidents, incidents and unsafe acts
- Maintain all risk assessments for all known hazards
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have worked in a similar, fast-paced manufacturing sector and hold a NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
They should have a proven track record in delivering a high standard of H&S training and ensuring all learning is up to date, including a comprehensive induction for new starters.
