About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Children's Disability Specialist to join our team at Achieving for Children.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have experience in supporting children with disabilities.

Salary and Benefits

This is a full-time role with a salary ranging from £39,951 to £42,840 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including 29 days annual leave (increasing to 33 days after 2 years and 35 days after 4 years), local government pension scheme, flexible working options, and an Employee Assistance Programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessing the needs of children with disabilities and developing support plans.
  • Working closely with families, health professionals, and education staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Undertaking visits to children and young people at home, school, and within the community.
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to team meetings and discussions.
Requirements
  • A Social Work qualification and Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) completion.
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Relevant experience in supporting children with disabilities or safeguarding.
  • Ability to work across two London Boroughs, with occasional travel required.
  • Flexible working hours and willingness to participate in the team duty system.
